Er is krapte op de arbeidsmarkt en er is onbenut arbeidspotentieel van nieuwkomers. Werkgevers hebben een rol te vervullen om deze kloof te dichten. Werk geeft zin en (zelf)vertrouwen en draagt bij aan een snellere integratie. Zodra je een job hebt, ben je geen vluchteling meer.
TIMMERWERKT is een meubelatelier dat is opgestart vanuit de drive om nieuwkomers een warm onthaal te bieden én een springplank naar de moeilijk toegankelijke arbeidsmarkt. We vertrekken vanuit het potentieel, de motivatie en het doorzettingsvermogen die we zo goed als zonder uitzondering ervaren bij de nieuwkomers die bij ons aan de slag gaan. We starten vanuit een bedrijfslogica en brengen dat in balans met onze sociale dimensie.
Het huidige economische paradigma van ongebreidelde groei, vaak ten koste van mensen en planeet is not the way to go. We streven naar een warmere en tragere samenleving die open staat voor verandering en diversiteit als een meerwaarde ziet.
